WENDY HAMMARSTROM has a BFA in Dance from Temple University, and was an art student at Philadelphia College of Art and Philadelphia Community College. Her dance company received a National Endowment for the Arts grant as part of the East Coast Interarts Collective, for which she created a mandala floor plan. She also received a Pennsylvania Council on the Arts grant, and a Pennsylvania Humanities Council grant for a Delaware Indian inspired performance (another time a circle was the basis of the choreography). Wendy has taught classes in mandala making at Innerworks, her massage and yoga center in Murrieta, for her daughter's 2nd grade class, and at First Night in Escondido. Massage, yoga, dance and mandala creating are all means of achieving balance and centering, and healing. Her book, A Mandala of Massage and Movement will be available soon.
