Laura Hansen
Experience this process of creating a personal deck of unique, collaged cards from found and personal images for the primary purpose of self-exploration, self-acceptance, and soul-tending. It is a fun, engaging, deep and illuminating process that is all at once a form of creative play, self-care and personal reflection. The cards that you make contain images you select – or images that select you – and come straight through your intuition, bypassing the mind. Your SoulCollage® deck becomes like a journal, as a way to know yourself and a way to reveal yourself to others. You may consult the cards for guidance and wisdom regarding issues in your life. Absolutely no art experience is necessary. Although designed for beginners, experienced SoulCollagers are welcome.

Please bring a heavy cardboard, wooden or cigar box, wood frame, small drawer or similar as a base. Basic art materials will be available for use during class. SILVER METAL CLAY JEWELRY
In this introductory workshop, learn to work with the marvelous medium of metal clay while creating a beautiful pendant and matching earrings of fine silver. Metal Clay is made of fine particles of silver, gold, copper or bronze contained in a clay-like binder, which burn out during firing. These metals are reclaimed from various sources including x-ray films, photo processing and computers. Fine Silver is 99.9% silver and is more valuable than sterling silver, in fact, you will be able to stamp your finished pieces with the jeweler’s mark for fine silver. Metal clay is extremely malleable and can be shaped into beads, jewelry and small sculptures. No previous experience in jewelry making or metalsmithing is required.
