This three hour class is perfect for those who want to create a chalkboard for a wedding, kitchen, business, to-do list, menu or mixed media artwork. Receive a small unframed chalkboard on which to work, play and take home. All materials will be provided.

In this fun, hands-on, educational introductory workshop, learn about the ancient art of henna. Explore everything needed to get you started making henna art: its history and traditions, basic science, traditional designs from around the world, how to mix henna paste, how to roll cones and draw with them, basic design elements, design care and aftercare. Each participant will receive a kit that includes: an instruction booklet, a fresh henna cone, a practice henna cone with non-staining lotion, fresh henna powder and materials to make your own cone at home after the class is over.

Do you use colors in your artwork and want to improve and expand your color horizons? Or do you feel a bit nervous when it comes to color choices? In this workshop, use gouache (an opaque watercolor) to explore basic color mixing and combinations to express certain feelings or achieve specific effects, while creating your own unique color designs. Kokedama is a traditional Japanese art form where moss is used as a container for a plant. In this interesting and hands-on workshop, learn the skills behind Kokedama and how to make your very own ball of moss-covered soil with arranged house plants. Led by Kanako Yamada, owner of Kodama Forest, receive questions and answers from an expert and all the supplies needed to make your unique Kokedama, including: two house plants from Kanako's selection, moss and soil. Enjoy a unique, fun-to-make Kokedama which gives people a peaceful and tranquil mind! Keep for yourself or give as a wonderful living gift. Please bring an apron or cover-up.
