DECORATIVE ART and DIY
MOSAIC BASICS: DISHES & TILE 2 weeks
In this fun and practical 2-part workshop, learn the basics of direct method mosaic while creating a work of art with broken dishes and/or ceramic tiles adhered to an object. Learn about materials, adhesives, cutting skills, designing and grouting. Please bring a hammer, tiles or dishes to break, and the object of your choice to mosaic; a box, tray, table top, vase, wide picture frame, flower pot, etc. (made of terra cotta, glass, metal, ceramics, cement or wood). In the first meeting, students will break, design and apply their broken pieces. Grout at the second meeting. Materials list provided upon registration.
In the weeks between the first and second meeting, you will work on and complete your project at home.

INTRO TO MOSAIC: GLASS ON GLASS 2 weeks
In this exciting beginning level, 2-part workshop, learn how to cut stained glass and combine it with mosaic techniques to produce fabulous light gathering objects of art. Use of colorful glass, (rather than traditional tile or dishes) on a translucent surface is what makes this workshop a unique experience! Materials list provided upon registration.

MOSAIC LAB
For those who have previously taken one of Lauren’s mosaic classes and don't need or want the LESSON. Perhaps you prefer to use our studio instead of your home and create on our tables. Please join us. Bring your own supplies. If you need grout supplies to be provided to you, please make advance arrangements and pay $10 more for gloves, grout, sponges, use of the buckets, spatulas, etc. Contact the studio to schedule a 3-hour session that fits your schedule.

Learn how easy it is to create your own unique piece of decorative functional art by painting images, textures or patterns on furniture! Please bring an old or new chair, small table, stool or bench. Create a one-of-a-kind pair of wine glasses in which to drink your favorite varietal or to give as a gift. Perfect for just about any special occasion; bridal shower, anniversary, birthday, wedding, fancy dinners, etc. Whether you're a novice or an advanced creative person, spend a few hours expressing yourself and have fun painting on glass. Don’t have space to create at home? Take advantage of Bravo’s Beech Street Studio creative space. Our tables and easels provide plenty of room for you to spread out to work.
Bring your unfinished projects and work in Bravo's studio. We may (or may not) provide guidance, suggestions, opinions or simply provide you a place to work. Work on your painting, drawing, mosaic, weaving, collage, mixed media, printmaking, etc. Bring your own supplies. Stay as long as you like. Advanced reservations are required.
Only $10 an hour. Pay by the hour.
