Drawing a portrait can sometimes be intimidating, so let’s turn it around, have fun, learn a lot while you gain confidence in your drawing skills. Use the best and always available model~ yourself! In this 3-hour workshop, explore the fundamentals of portrait drawing; proportion, line, shape, tonal value, and so many other techniques. Learn the most valuable and most helpful lesson~ how to observe and see as an artist! Be prepared to express yourself, experiment, make yourself even more beautiful (why not?!) or more silly (humor us). Be ready to laugh! In these times of selfie culture, turn your selfie into art. Bring your phone and/or iPad and your fun attitude! Choose to either pay the supplies fee to have the supplies provided for you or you may bring your own supplies (a materials list given upon registration). When you have your own supplies, you’ll be able to continue your practice of drawing selfies at home.
