THE ARTIST’S WAY

Experience a process of discovering or recovering your creative self. This is a spiritual path to higher creativity. Are barriers keeping you from being fulfilled? Don’t know where to begin? Then this powerful 12-session course for aspiring and working dancers, singers, actors, writers and visual artists is for you. In a supportive and safe setting you'll encounter a myriad of art forms. Through readings, exercises and discussions, your imagination and productivity will be tapped. Bring a copy of The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron and an 11” by 9” unlined sketch diary. No previous arts experience required. Pre-registration necessary. Class will not meet on September 28 and November 23.

BUSINESS OF BEING AN ARTIST

This informative workshop offers valuable ideas about the business side of being a professional artist. Learn how to become a legitimate business, how to organize your paperwork with regard to income, expense deductions and taxes, and how to present yourself to the world without appearing to be a flaky artist. Discussions will cover resumes, creating a good portfolio, marketing, how to approach a gallery and get your work accepted to art shows, and much more. This is the class they didn't teach you in Art School.
