GRAFFITI STYLE ARTIST BOOK 2 weeks
Incorporate the use of your own invented calligraphy of handwriting and symbols using different tools such as brushes, pens and pencils. PLAY is a key concept in this throughly enjoyable workshop. Create gesture drawings reminiscent of calligraphy which become images against a background layered with acrylics and ink. Words act as pattern, texture and the effect is a colorful and textural scaled down graffiti. The “writing” is imagery, nonsense or actual text. Your artwork; these paintings and prints, may be cut up and reformatted to become the pages of an artist’s book to be bound using traditional stitching and an exposed spine. Materials list provided upon registration.
