DECORATIVE ART
MOSAIC
In this 2-part workshop, learn the basics of mosaic while creating a work of art. Bring a hammer, the object of your choice to mosaic; a box, plate, table top, vase, wide picture frame, flower pot, etc. (made of terra cotta, glass, metal, ceramics, cement or wood) and the tiles or dishes to break in class. In the first meeting, students will break, design and apply their broken pieces. The second meeting is grouting day.

MOSAIC: GLASS ON GLASS
NEW!! More mosaic fun! In this exciting 2-part workshop, learn how to cut stained glass and combine it with mosaic techniques to produce fabulous light gathering objects of art. PAINTED GLASSWARE
Make your dining experience a ‘fashionista’ event. Create fabulously painted glassware for holiday or special occasions. PAINT YOUR CHUCKS
Using a pair of any clean, white canvas high top shoes, express yourself with acrylic paint. “Chucks” (another name for a canvas and rubber shoe produced by Converse) provide a great surface to decorate with color, pattern, words and images. Transform your feet into a gallery of art.

PAINTED PLASTIC CHAIR
Give new life to those inexpensive stackable resin chairs by turning them into a work of art. Create a beautiful, decorative chair by painting color, pattern, shapes, texture, lines, flowers, animals, etc. on the surface. No previous painting experience necessary. SIMPLE FAUX FINISH TECHNIQUES
Do you have a furniture piece already painted but wish it had wood grain? Is there a room you would like to embellish with textured walls? Learn some simple techniques for one person to transform a surface with paint. Using sample boards, practice some different faux looks while learning how to do it successfully.

MURAL PAINTING
Painting LARGE, this workshop covers the basics of the process of mural painting. Learn about designing to scale, transferring your design, which paint to use, shortcuts and helpful techniques. Drawing and painting are a lifetime pursuit of practice and dedication and will not be taught in this workshop.

TROMPE L'OEIL BASICS
French for "trick the eye", trompe l' oeil is an art technique involving extremely realistic imagery in order to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects appear in three dimensions, instead of actually being a two-dimensional painting. In this 2-part beginning workshop, create the illusion of depth, open a window or door with paint and learn basic perspective and color techniques.
