CHILDREN
Workshops and classes in art for children are taught by instructors experienced in working with children of all age levels. Some instructors are mult-subject and art specialists with California teaching credentials. All are experienced artists. The class sizes are meant to be small, usually less than 10 students. We place great emphasis on positive feedback and individual creativity while gently guiding students in basic skills. The focus is on the experience, the process and skill building during the steps in making art. The finished product is not the only goal, it is a step along the way in a quest for learning. It is our hope that students will enjoy their experience and be motivated to pursue their own interests.

MOMMY/DADDY & ME PHOTOGRAPHY Ages 6 - 8
Parents, children and photography have been a mainstay of recording our families' histories. With today's more sophisticated and inexpensive point and shoot digital cameras, it actually may be the children who are the experts in their use. These classes will cover basic camera functions, but will also encourage that special element every child seems to have an abundance of – the desire to experiment. Maybe Mom and Dad will catch on too! Photo fundamentals, light, composition, people and places, subjects and exposure will be defined. Please bring a digital point and shoot camera, it's manual and a spare battery. After taking this class, your holidays and vacations photos will be a source of pride. Suggested Reference materials: The Digital Photography Books Vol. 1, 2 & 3 by Scot Kelby are great resources for all digital photographers.
